We survived the long flight (almost 12 hours) and spent a nice evening in Kowloon, walking around Temple night market and having food at a small stall - sucking noddles. When we arrived back at our hotel, ready for bed, we were very proud of ourselves for beating the jet lag.
Err... Not so true.
I woke up at 3:30 am, and after an hour of turning from side to side I gave up and decided to read. Anita woke up as well, tossed and turned until we both fell asleep at 6:30. No more premature bragging.
The next day was pretty cool. We tool the Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island and spent the entire day there. We climbed the escalator, went to Victoria Peak and did some night photography experiments (will post pictures once I can upload them). One of the most striking things was the people in the streets. Sunday is the only day off the immigrant workers have in Hong Kong and they enjoy it by meeting in the streets with their friends. That meant that on every corner and every square you could see hundreds and thousands of Philippine and Indonesian middle aged women, sitting on blankets or cardboard, playing cards, chatting (loudly!) and plucking their eyebrows.
In the last 3 days I also discovered what Hong Kong means - 'city of moist backs'. Man it is HOT here...
Hope you all have a happy Jewish New Year - Shana Tova and 'see you' in New Zealand!

Last day in the UK
So, after 3 years of London we are now ready for something else. We had our last piece of Ealing Broadway - our favorite Clay Oven - and went to the airport for a lovely 11.5 hour flight to Hong Kong.
