We have neglected our blogging duties for a long time, but we are back now.
Ten days in sydney flew by very quickly, but we enjoyed them to the fullest. We stayed with our friends Yoni, Libat and 21-month old Yahli. They gave us classy hospitality: room, cooked meals (and the house speciality of Choopy Coffee), a mobile to check on us and loads of extracurricular activities (basketball and a haircut for Oren, ferry and bus tickets, massage appointments!!). Seriously, we would move in with them in a heart beat. It also helped that they live in a very nice part of the city, Rose Bay, which meant our days started and ended with a ferry ride viewing the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Not a bad start...
So, we got to explore the city at a relaxed pace during the days and then hang out with them and play with Yahli in the evenings. We really loved it, there is a certain atmosphere there that made it very comfortable. One of the coolest things about Sydney is that it is like living in a zoo or bird sanctuary. When other cities have pigeons, Sydney has wild kakadoos, parrots and other funky birds (when we upload pictures you will see...).
We also drove outside of the city to visit the Blue Mountains. All in all Sydney was a great success :-).
We are now in Japan but internet places are hard to find. I guess since everyone has internet on their mobiles it is not that necessary. We will try to blog soon and add pictures, worst case from London. Yes, it is true, the end of our trip is close and we are heading back to European winter.
